I done a mix. (music)

Tue Nov 28, 2006, 4:30 PM
Having recently bought a korg pad control, I wanted to do a mix where I could push it to the max. Fortunatly enough, I'd already been toying with the idea of a deep sonic-art inspired techno mix, one that would need 20odd tracks playing at the same time and more subtle clicks, pops and bass rumbles than you could shake a massive stick at.

And here it is. Well, the first half. Second is pretty much done too, but you'll only be able to get that on the cd version. It shall be available when I get off my arse and do some artwork for it and will cost nothing (very little, packaging and shipping) apart from your everlasting love.
This is called the destruction of order, the second part is called the order of destruction. Yes, its cheesy, yes its prententious, but I cant think of anything more fitting.

I tried to make something that became completley different to what it started out as, a pure headfuck of a beat which every time you listened to you heard new sounds and effects in the mix, yet which still stayed in constant relation to each other.
Its also not that minimal past 10 minutes, so bear with it if youre rubbish.

Tracks involved:
Vitor joaquim - short wave on paper
Rhythm maker - push the panic button
Rhythm maker - normal music
Landing (background rec.) - Its like a percussion
Danieto - 6 dual relays on chips
Danieto - avance cíclico
Dimbiman - koppchen (herbert's d-d-d-dazzle dub)
Bleip - no
Bleip - freaky disco
Richie hawtin - the tunnel
Gabriel ananda & cio d or - lauschgoldengel
Claude von stroke - who's afraid of detroit

Snag it, crack it on, feedback will make you the BEST.

lawlz. Same here. Do you have stairs in your 3D modeled houses?

I showed my roommate some of your pictures and said, "What do you think of this shot here?"

"Oh, pretty cool, I suppose."

"Yeah?" I replied. "Well, it's not a photo. Look at the category."

Then he flipped out at the realism. Nice work dood.

wow amazing stuff you have there, i'm getting into the 3d field myself, but i'm having alot of issues with getting realistic lighting. I'm using Maya, so i've got mental ray to mess with, the whole global illumination and final gather thing is amazing stuff...but how does one achieve realistic lighting? have you ever used maya? I see your using v-ray and 3ds for your renders. Have you used both and do you recemmend 3ds for realistic renders?
